A Breath of Fresh Air : The Bukidnon Tour

One good thing about staying in Bukidnon is its cold air even during noon time.   We happened to visit and tour around the Bukidnon Forests, Inc. located at Sayre Highway, Malabay City, Bukidnon.

Bukidnon Forests, Inc. (BFI) is a government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) under the National Resources Development Corporation.  It was funded by the national government of New Zealand until it was terminated as a foreign-assisted project of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in 1998.

We just happened to pass by the BFI and decided to take a look around the area since we were already there.  Any one can have the pleasure of visiting or stepping inside its premises since there were no guards on its entrance.  Anyway, this area is not that highly unsafe to be secluded from people.

I was in awe while staring at the trees everywhere, surrounding me.   I have not seen any reforestation projects here in our place, so please bear with me.    Since I am not an expert as to the kind and type of trees, what I recognized were mahogany trees and the rest were just... plain trees, for me...

The Fire Weather Indicator located at the entrance of BFI.  However, I am not that confident if this is accurate since this is made of ply board and not electronic-built.
Share to us your travels around Mindanao area.  We would love to hear those
