Summer will never be complete without frequent visit to beaches and exposure to the heat of the sun.   We were able to have a 4-day vacation in Boracay and, as expected, a darker skin color is what I got.   I am morena and I think it will always stay that way.   What I wanted is to lighten my dark skin brought by exposure to the sun during our vacation and eventually even out my skin tone.   So, while looking for a whitening lotion or soap, I spotted this one and decided to try this (blame it to the TV commercials) with the hope that it will deliver its promise  : "Whiten skin in 7 days."

So, I bought the 125g  (it also has 90g) for only around PhP60 (I forgot the exact price). 

SAMPLE ROOM HAUL : Another First

I've been re-inventing my blog site and tried searching for what's good for my site that I stumbled upon Sample Room.   It's tagline "Try Before You Buy" caught my attention.  Isn't it so nice that you got to test the product/s you are planning to buy if it will be good on you or not by trying it out first - FOR FREE!

I know, I'm a bit late when it comes to Sample Room since it went live on December 2012.   I will write a separate post about Sample Room and how it works.

For now, I am very delighted to share to you my first (and definitely not the last) ever haul from Sample Room.  DRUM ROLLS PLEASE.... Teehee!

I signed up last June 11, 2014 and the packaged arrived on the 13th.  Exciting!

Maybe It's Maybelline : Baby Lips Color

I usually had chapped lips since I have this (bad) habit of frequently biting and/or licking my lips.   It is not so good to look at since it will become too dry and flaky.  That's why lip balms will always be a part of my beauty essentials. And to honestly tell you, I am a major fan of Maybelline Baby Lips since it's first introduced in the  market.

But my most fave of all is this Baby Lips Color in Cherry Kiss.   I love that it gives my lips a hint of red even without wearing a lipstick.   Okay, I know.  It's color is not as vibrant as those red lipsticks, but I still love wearing this lip balm.

Why I love this baby?  It moisturizes my lips without looking so oily.   Plus it stays for 6 long hours.

JUNE HAUL : My First Ever Beauty Haul

I just decided to also share my beauty hauls and also hauls for my little one.   For this month of June, my being an impulsive buyer again attacks me.   I know I spent a great amount for this month's haul but still I am hoping that these are good buys.

Okay, lately I have been obsessed on losing weight that I had to take extra effort (not to mention extra budget) to achieve my goals.   Aside from my usual jogging and physical activities, I was able to take the Bragg Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar (click the link to read my review on this) before deciding to buy another weight loss product.   

Of course, I had to be careful on purchasing a weight loss product which would not also risk my health.   After so many research, I decided to buy Weider Fat Burner with Chromium Picolinate and Green Tea.

An all-in-one formulation that first became a sensation in South Korea and spread throughout its neighboring Asian countries.   BB cream, is short for blemish balm or beauty balm, was originally developed in Germany.   This cream was hailed as the secret of Korean actresses – where porcelain skin is one of their greatest assets.

After finishing my first tube of BB cream from a different product line, I spotted this Maybelline BB Cream and decided to give it a try.   I heard many favorable reviews on this BB cream and it is best to also try it.   I bought the 02 Natural color of the cream for only PhP250.  I have been using this BB cream for 2 months and it is the right time to give this product a review.

Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner

I try, as much as possible, to never skip my toner during the morning and evening as part of my skin care rituals.   Toners are meant to be used after cleansing the face with water and choice of facial soap or wash.   Since I have quite a number of visible pores on my face and I heard that this Wonder Pore Freshner really do great wonders on our pores, why not try it myself?   Etude House has several other products on their Wonder Pore line which, by the way, is inspired by the American female superhero, WONDER WOMAN!

Etude House has two sizes of this toner : 500mL and 250mL.   Since I have yet to try this toner if this will work on my face, I chose the smaller one.   I learned that the 500mL has  pump on its container unlike the one I purchased (sad face :-( .   The 250mL costs me PhP478.00 while the bigger one costs PhP798.00.

I like its packaging!  It's seems so pretty girly even it is color blue.   Actually, almost all Etude House's products has very nice packaging.   The bottle's packed in a blue acetate container.

St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

I stumbled on St. Ives website while searching for a moisturizer for my skin.   I tried searching for reviews and decided to buy St. Ives' Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer.   So, I've been using this moisturizer for almost eight months and I think it is high time for me to give my reviews.

THE PROMISE :  This moisturizer, with collagen and elastin proteins, hydrates for visibly softer, smoother skin.  This product will also help in visibly reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Gardening : Pure Relaxation

Gardening has been a therapy for me; a way to release all the stresses and demands from office works.  Well, of course, aside from cuddling and kissing my little girl, gardening relaxes me and brightens my mood.

I grow up seeing my parents' interest on gardening.  They used to tell me to help them maintain the garden or help in the gardening chores whenever there were new plants.   However, I used to tell them that I was not born to plant or rather I don't have a "green thumb", for that matter.   Haha!   It's just me being lazy.  I would rather sit or lie on the couch, watch a TV show or read a book.   (Imagine a middle child's life where the older siblings being so responsible in almost all the household chores including gardening.)   So to make the story short : I have now my own family with our own home.   It would be so dull and boring if I went out of our house or just peek out of our window and look at our yard that's so empty : no plants or flowers; no greens or yellows or reds growing in our yard.  

So I have to face a big challenge here : TO REALLY KNOW IF I HAVE THAT "GREEN THUMB".

After so many weeks and months of thinking and re-thinking, I decided to jump into the bandwagon.   I did not mean to use this product for too long, but I opted to take this for the purpose of restoring damaged body tissues.   I bought this through Lazada since I find it more convenient to just order online and TADA!, the item I purchased will be delivered right in front of my doorstep (or rather in front of my working desk inside the office).

So you know now that I am addicted to juiced fruits and vegetables.   While husband did not like the taste of combined fruits and vegetables in a form of juice, I already get used to its taste.   I've searched through the web for additional recipes that I could use and I would love to share these to you (of course, credits to the original sources of these recipes).

The Amazing Wonders of Apple Cider Vinegar : The "Bragg" Way

Yehey!  After almost a month of searching this wonder vinegar, I got to hold a bottle of it.  Feeling excited?  Of course!

It tastes like any other vinegar but the health benefits it claim are endless.   Apple cider vinegar is a fermented vinegar made from apples.   I tried it myself for almost a month and I can attest that it proved what it claimed to do.   I bought this Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar for weight loss/management purposes.  To be honest, I am not overweight but I tend to fell short of breathe when walking too long that's why I chose to lose weight.  Also, summer is just a month away, so beach-ready body is a MUST!

After more than a month of taking this apple cider vinegar coupled with 1 hour walking/jogging everyday, I had a total weight loss of 6 kilos.   Sorry, I was not able to took a "before and after" picture of me.   From 58 kilos down to 52.   One good thing, this vinegar suppresses my appetite.

I have been so busy these past few months that I have neglected writing.  With all the activities in my work and at home, I could not allot extra time in writing.   My husband and I has been preoccupied with our house construction and moving in including activities of my kid, I set aside writing an article here.  Another thing is that I was hook in reading a new set of books from George Martin that I could not afford not to finish those books.  Anyways, enough of my blabbering talks.

I know everyone knows about this juicing fruits and vegetables craze now.   And guess what?  I'm also into it.  Well, I was inspired my our older brother's "eating-healthy, exercise-more lifestyle" for the past year.   Also, I feel bloated and I need to cleanse my physical body.

Kaizle @ 2 : The Breastfed Toddler

Well, yeah, I have to admit that it sometimes bothered me knowing that at 2, I am still breastfeeding Kaizle.   I thought it was already inappropriate that at her age, she still have that habit.    However, I have encountered an article on breastfeeding a toddler and it inspires me to continue breastfeeding Kaizle as long as I have enough supply of milk. Lol!

I want to share it to all moms out there to better know the advantages and benefits derived from breastfeeding.

HOME... is where Christmas is...

We, Filipinos, celebrated Christmas season the longest.  This season started on September and ends on January 6, during the celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany or mostly called it the Three Kings.

Actually, this was posted so very late because of a very busy schedule.  I have a handful of tasks lately being a working mother and a wife that I tend to set aside one, among the many, favorite hobbies.

I would like to share to you our very own Christmas celebration which was held last December 25, 2012.

We started the celebration with a lunch.  Each family brought foods to share and everyone enjoyed it!   Of course, Pinoy celebrations will not be complete without the presence of the videoke.. Anyone who wants to showcase their singing talents (even those who have not any of that talent) took a chance to got hold of the ever reliable Magic Sing microphone.
