It been weeks that I have not checked products available in Sample Room.  However, the last time I checked, I could not resist but try their samples.  Most product samples are lotions.  I am a "lotion person" so I grabbed it and most of them were in full sizes. **wink wink**   Who would not try these for free?

Finally I decided to jump into subscription boxes.   But unlucky me, because my first ever subscription box is soooooo (that's too long) frustrating. Check my blog on my FIRST & DEFINITELY MY LAST SALADBOX EXPERIENCE.

For my first unboxing, I will be featuring the three boxes I received from SaladBox this July.

 Okay, back to my rants.  Imagine subscribing for a monthly subscription box for three months yet receiving it all three in just one delivery?  Will you be glad and exited on this?

But anyways, I learned a lesson and not to subscribe with SaladBox again.

Let's proceed with the unboxing.

My First (& Definitely the Last) Salad Box Experience

Okay, so I also joined the hype on subscription boxes.   Just to also feel the excitement of waiting for the box to arrive and what's inside it.   

So here's my story : I searched through the internet and asked fellow bloggers what's the best subscription box so far.   To make it short, I subscribed to a Salad Box 3-month starter plan and BDJ Box which the Bellas from BDJ confirmed that I am included on their August subscribers.   I was able to place my Salad Box subscription on June 23, 2014.   I was able to to follow-up through email asking the schedule of my box to arrive or as to the month of subscription.   I received a confirmation from Salad Box's operations associate that I am in line with the trio box lot which is SkinFood, Regatta and Runway Ready boxes and they are on its way already.  I was a bit curious why I will be having a trio box lot but anyways I disregard it due to excitement again!

Finally, my box arrived in my office.  I was a bit tempted to open it but I still remind myself not to do it. (That's me being so excited...)  So, I went home and quite frustrated upon seeing that they already sent me the three boxes intended for a 3-month plan.  As stated on their website :

Modes of Payment. The Starter Plus Plan can be paid via bank deposit or electronic cash (Globe GCash).
Cancellation. This Plan will automatically be canceled after the third month.

I am expecting that they will deliver the terms as stated on their website.  It is clearly stated that the starter plan is good for three months and will automatically be canceled after the third month.  So, where's the third month here since I received all the three boxes on the first month?  So disappointing, very disappointing and deceiving...

 

Anyways, what's more frustrating is that they sent me boxes intended for the months of March, April and May subscriptions.  I already read unboxing posts from fellow bloggers of their March, April and May SaladBoxes.  And upon seeing the items, the excitement's gone.   Okay, so the SkinFood box is such a good catch.   But the Regatta items?   Hello, summer's over, long gone.   I received the boxes on July 10, 2014 and the boxes I received are boxes dated four months ago.   What are these?  Left-over boxes for those unlucky individuals?  I paid for a subscription box intended for three months but I did not deserve to receive three outdated boxes from you, guys.

I met a friend that I have not seen for more than a year.   Not to be too judgmental , but way back years ago, her face is so prone to pimples and acne due to its oiliness.   She was even making a joke of her face having so many pimples.   But I can't help but ask what she is using on her skin now that her face became visibly clear of pimples and acne.  It even has no pimple and acne marks on it.   And she also has a lighter skin tone now.  The curiosity in me pops all the questions on the skin care products she's into now.

Review : Vaseline Healthy White Instant Fair Visible Fairness Lotion

Whitening products are so popular in almost all Asian countries including Philippines.   Most beauty brands are offering multi-benefits on our skin and whitening/lightening is always on the list.   Today, I will be doing a review on one of the new lotions of Vaseline which claims to control melanin formation, with triple sunscreen protection and could make you up to 4 times fairer instantly!   Presenting, the VASELINE HEALTHY WHITE INSTANT FAIR VISIBLE FAIRNESS LOTION.

I got this 200mL lotion from Sample Room together with the other products (see my post here about my First Sample Room Haul).

                                             The shape of the bottle is so easy to hold.

The product's Skin Micro Reflectors gives the instant brightening effect since the light will be evenly reflected all over the skin.   Another plus factor on this Instant Fair Lotion is that it has triple sunscreen protection which guards you from the scorching heat of the sun (although I will still recommend to put your regular sunscreen lotion aside from this).  

KB Collagen Food Supplement : An Honest Review

I promised on my previous post featuring KB Collagen Food Supplement that I will be reviewing this product after a month of taking it. (Click HERE for the blog post)  So, I already consumed the three bottles of my collagen food supplement and I almost forgot to post my review here due to so many conflicting schedules.

So I mentioned in my previous blog that I have 3 boxes of KB Collagen Food Supplement.  Based on the label instructions, suggested use is 1 - 3 tablets a day.  I decided to take 2 tablets a day for two weeks but after a week of taking 2 tablets, I changed my decision (that's me being me.. hahaha..).  I take 3 tablets a day until the third week and drop to again to two tablets for the rest of the remaining tablets.

Venus & Mars Naturals Miracle Emu Oil

Been so busy with work activities that I need (although it's always on my mind) to forget on posting any articles here.  So many commitments, so little time.

Okay, enough of that whining and I have to proceed with my review on Venus & Mars Naturals Miracle Emu Oil.

WHAT IS AN EMU OIL?

According to my research, emu oil is derived from the fat of a flightless bird indigenous to Australia called an emu.   Emu oil is widely used in many personal care products because it is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and it has deep penetrating moisturizing properties.   It is also considered to have anti-aging properties which helps in getting rid some of the wrinkles and signs of aging in the skin.   It has skin regeneration properties, essential fatty acids, antioxidants and even vitamins that all come together to create its anti-aging effects.  Emu oil has the ability to penetrate the skin at a very deep level, getting down into the skin pores, nourishing them and hydrating them back to perfection. Further, emu oil is sometimes marketed as anti-inflammatory product.
